AI Video Production
Storytelling craft, applied to the latest tools
We're experiencing an explosion of AI video tools and workflows. Every few weeks brings a new model, technique or platform that changes what's possible on screen and how quickly an idea can get there. Stories that were once too costly, complex or impossible to film are now within reach. For filmmakers, it's the biggest shift since the move from film to digital. But its impact will be far greater.
Tools don't make great work. Storytellers do.
With AI-generated content everywhere, what sets good work apart is taste, intent, storytelling and the real-world production experience needed to achieve real, cinematic results. We approach AI the way we've always approached filmmaking: story first, with the same discipline and commitment to quality in every aspect of the craft. Our goal isn't to make great AI video. It's to make great video with AI that stands alongside the best live-action work.
One tool. Many applications.
AI video creation is a multimodal craft that requires human direction and control across many creative disciplines. Applications fall into three categories:
Enhance. AI applications that speed up and expand traditional production, from concept art and storyboards to graphics, VFX and post.
Hybrid. Live-action, human performance combined with AI-generated environments, characters or effects.
Full GenAI. Fully generative films for ideas that could never be shot or produced cost-effectively.Motion Graphics
What we’re building
We're actively developing our creative and production capabilities on an ongoing basis across a range of techniques, including:
Story development workflows, previz. Agengic workflows, concepts, mood boards, storyboards and pre-visualization trailers—in a fraction of the time.
Character development. Creating realistic, consistent characters that hold their appearance, voice and personality across shots and scenes.
3D scene blocking. Staging scenes, cameras and lenses in 3D tools like Blender and Intangible to guide what the AI model creates.
Gray boxing and motion transfer. Blocking scenes with simple shapes and transferring real human movement to AI characters, generated objects and environments.
Performance-driven transformation. Shooting real human performances against a simple gray-box setup that gives the AI model 3D reference, then using AI to create the background, lighting, wardrobe and props. Many of the benefits of virtual production, without the LED screen.
Hybrid AI/virtual production. Shooting a real human performance on an LED volume displaying Unreal Engine or AI-generated environments, then using AI in post to extend the scene, enhance lighting and add props or set pieces.
Gaussian splatting. Scanning real locations and objects to create photoreal 3D environments that can be used directly in AI video generation or imported into Unreal Engine for virtual production or hybrid AI/VP production pipelines.
Voice, music and sound. AI-generated character voices & lip syncing, voiceover, overlapping dialog, music scoring, SFX and sound design.
